I would take upon yourself “backstroke” and “back crawl” are the same thing. “Elementary backstroke” is not the same thing, but, like the name implies, it is not hard to learn.

Elementary backstroke has some variations, but mostly it is like swimming breaststroke on your back. The main difference from “back crawl” is that you go your arms in unison (as opposed to alternating arms). The recovery (moving your arms from your sides to higher than your head) can be either over-fill up or under fill up. The kick can be either whip kick or flutter kick.

Backstroke and back crawl are uncommon names for the same thing, which is when you are swimming on your back and your arms rotate at uncommon era kind of like a windmill. Now, elementary backstroke is when you are swimming on your back, but both of your arms are rotating at the same time.
    Excellent luck!
